Michael Collins
Head Coach
Michael Collins joins Brooklyn Basketball as the programs Head Coach with over 15 years of experience developing players of all ages and skill levels. Most recently, he served as the Basketball Director at Basketball City at Pier 36 in Manhattan, where he worked with NBA and overseas professionals while also leading youth programs in partnership with the Jr. NBA and NBPA. A former standout player and longtime coach at Stevens Institute of Technology, Michael helped guide both the men’s and women’s teams to championship success and NCAA Tournament runs. He holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a focus in coaching and conditioning, and is passionate about creating positive, growth-driven environments where young athletes can learn, compete, and reach their full potential.

Jordi Fernández
Brooklyn Nets Head CoachJordi Fernández was named head coach of the Brooklyn Nets on April 22, 2024, and later signed a multi-year extension after the 2025–26 season. He joined Brooklyn following two seasons as associate head coach of the Sacramento Kings, where he helped guide the team to a Pacific Division title and playoff return in 2023. A native of Badalona, Spain, Fernández also coached Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team from 2023 to 2025, leading them to a historic bronze medal at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Previously, he spent six seasons as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets, contributing to four straight playoff appearances, including a 2020 Western Conference Finals run. His earlier experience includes head coaching the Canton Charge in the NBA G League, where he posted a strong record and back-to-back conference finals appearances, along with player development and international coaching roles with teams from Nigeria, Spain, and beyond.
Chris Demarco
New York Liberty Head CoachChris DeMarco was named head coach of the New York Liberty ahead of the 2026 season, becoming the 10th head coach in franchise history. He joins the Liberty after a 14-year tenure with the Golden State Warriors, including 11 seasons as an assistant coach under Steve Kerr, where he helped guide the team to four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022) and played a key role in player development and system implementation during one of the league’s most successful dynasties. In addition to his NBA experience, DeMarco has served as head coach of the Bahamas Men’s National Team since 2019, leading them to a landmark victory over Argentina in the 2024 Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament. He began his career in Golden State in video and scouting roles before rising through the ranks, contributing to elite team performance metrics and multiple historic achievements, including a 73-win season.
