Michael Collins
Head Coach
Michael Collins joins Brooklyn Basketball as the programs Head Coach with over 15 years of experience developing players of all ages and skill levels. Most recently, he served as the Basketball Director at Basketball City at Pier 36 in Manhattan, where he worked with NBA and overseas professionals while also leading youth programs in partnership with the Jr. NBA and NBPA. A former standout player and longtime coach at Stevens Institute of Technology, Michael helped guide both the men’s and women’s teams to championship success and NCAA Tournament runs. He holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a focus in coaching and conditioning, and is passionate about creating positive, growth-driven environments where young athletes can learn, compete, and reach their full potential.

Brianna Williams
Coach
Brianna Williams, a Bronx native and proud graduate of Nyack College, has been a dedicated coach with Brooklyn Basketball for the last seven years. With deep roots in New York City and a true passion for teaching the game, Brianna has helped countless young athletes build skills, confidence, and love for basketball. Her coaching style blends energy and encouragement with a strong focus on fundamentals, making her a trusted role model both on and off the court. Brianna is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every player feels empowered to grow and reach their full potential.

Greg Barnes
Coach
Greg Barnes, a Flatbush native, brings over 15 years of experience in youth development, community outreach, and sports programming to Brooklyn Basketball. A graduate of both City College of New York and Queens College, Greg has dedicated his career to creating opportunities for young people through health, fitness, and team sports. His background spans nonprofit management, community initiatives, and grassroots basketball, where he has consistently focused on using sport as a vehicle for personal growth and positive change. Passionate about giving back to his community, Greg is committed to helping every athlete who comes through Brooklyn Basketball develop not only as a player, but also as a confident, well-rounded individual.

Alexis Hunter
Coach
A Bed-Stuy native with five years of coaching experience and a degree from Farmingdale State College, Alexis brings both passion and professionalism to Brooklyn Basketball. A lifelong athlete and community leader, she is committed to providing excellent service, building meaningful relationships, and making a lasting impact on the next generation of players. Her energy and dedication reflect her belief that sports can be a powerful tool for growth, both on and off the court.

Fataya Larry
Coach
With experience ranging from youth leagues to women’s college basketball, Fataya has built a reputation as a motivational leader and coach. A graduate of Rhode Island College, she has spent the past three years coaching and leading clinics across New York City, including with Brooklyn Basketball. Fataya empowers athletes to grow both mentally and physically by instilling discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic. Her background as an AAU coach and college basketball player has equipped her with the leadership skills to create a healthy foundation for young athletes to thrive. Passionate about community impact, she is dedicated to helping players develop not only as athletes but as people.

Dynasty Franklin
Coach
From Shelby, North Carolina, Dynasty Franklin brings five years of coaching experience and a strong academic foundation to her work in basketball development. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Dynasty has combined her passion for sport with a commitment to excellence both on and off the court. She recently completed her Master’s in Sports Management at New York University, further equipping her with the knowledge and skills to make a lasting impact in the industry. With her blend of coaching experience, academic achievement, and dedication to youth development, Dynasty is driven to empower the next generation of athletes through the game of basketball.

Destiny Franklin
Coach
Destiny Franklin is a sports business professional and coach from Shelby, North Carolina with experience across youth development, community engagement, and event operations. She has served as a coach with Brooklyn Basketball for the past two years. Alongside this, she has held roles with InnovateEDU, Headfirst Professional Sports Camps (New York Yankees), and Girls Academy, while also serving as President of the NYU Graduate Sports Business Society. Destiny earned her M.S. in Sports Business from NYU and B.S. in Biology from UNC-Greensboro, where she was actively involved in leadership and student development.

Nicolas Chiti
Coach
Nicolas Chiti, originally from Argentina, brings a wealth of international basketball and leadership experience to Brooklyn Basketball. He currently serves as Director of Basketball at Iron Peak Sports & Events, where he oversees program and project management, while also contributing as a clinician with Brooklyn Basketball since 2022. Nicolas has previously worked as a Physical Education teach at North Star Academy in Newark and spent two years as Head Basketball Coach and Player Development lead at Iron Peak. Before moving to the U.S., he tutored aspiring coaches in Argentina through ENEBA, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to player and coach development.

Mike Cintron
Coach
Michael Cintron is a coach with over five years of experience developing young athletes across New York City. Since 2022, he has served as a coach with Brooklyn Basketball, leading camps and clinics for ages 6-17 and supporting DOE partnership programs through skill instruction and challenges. In addition, Coach Michael works with Grand Street Settlement’s Saturday Night Lights program, where he supervises and designs youth basketball tournaments, further demonstrating his commitment to community engagement and player growth.

Jalil Murray
Coach
Jalil Murray, born and raised in Queens, brings a unique blend of on-court experience to Brooklyn Basketball. A certified boys’ high school referee, he has spent the past two years coaching and developing young athletes while leveraging his background in sports management to create positive, structured environments for growth both on and off the court.

Nia Bishop
Coach
Nia Bishop, a Brooklyn native, is a former standout at Xavier University of Louisiana where she studied Business Management. Once the leading scorer in the PSAL, Nia has carried her passion for the game into her career as both a coach and educator. Now a teacher in Brooklyn, she continues to inspire young people on and off the court through her knowledge, leadership, and deep connection to the community she calls home.
